Tuckeroo trees (Cupaniopsis anacardioides) are attractive evergreen trees with dense, rounded canopies of glossy green leaves. In spring and summer, they produce small yellow-green flowers, followed by decorative orange berries that attract birds.

    Use
Ideal for street planting, coastal gardens, and urban landscapes, Tuckeroo trees provide excellent shade and wind protection. Their non-invasive root system makes them a great choice for parks, nature strips, and residential gardens.

    Preferred Climate
Cupaniopsis anacardioides thrives in tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates. It is highly tolerant of coastal conditions, strong winds, and moderate drought once established.

    Best Position and Soil Type
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-draining soil. Tuckeroo trees are adaptable to a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils, and perform well in coastal and urban environments.

    Mature Height and Width
Tuckeroo trees typically grow to 5-8 metres in height with a canopy spread of 4C6 metres, making them an excellent shade tree for medium to large spaces.

    Care
These young tubestock plants require regular watering until established. Once mature, Cupaniopsis trees are low-maintenance, benefiting from occasional pruning to shape their canopy and seasonal mulching to retain moisture.
